In a recent update from Microsoft they changed the way that embedded objects are used in a webpageand so this only applies to users playing on the site with Microsoft Internet Explorer.
This update makes it so that all Flash, Java, and Shockwave games now require you the user to 'activate' the game by clicking on it once before you can play it. In some instances there may be a little pop up box that says "Click to run an Active X control on this webpage" don't worry its nothing harmful, its just caused from this update to Internet Explorer. You must click OK to play the game.
We have developed a work around for the problem for all the games on FreeArcade.com. We want your experience to be as fun as possible!
Well if you've got a fun game you can submit it to us for review. We will test it and let you know about putting it up on the site.
